It is the realization of Virginia Outwin Boochever's gift to the Smithsonian and the country, a testimony to the transformative power of one person to make an impact. The Biennial 2026,, marks 4 years of photographic arts and education shows in Houston, Texas. It provides key works and styles from the 20 previous biennials between 1986 and 2024, with more than 450 artists from the United States and 58 nations represented.
